Colin Gregan – Managing Director
Colin owned and managed Fitzwilliam Currency Brokers in the 70s 80s and 90s. The business was a very successful wholesale inter bank money broker, specialising in foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives. He managed a FX Futures Trading business on the Finex Futures Exchange and also traded oil on the Nymex floor.
He has numerous years’ experience day trading the S&P500 index of US stocks and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UCD. As Managing Director at IIFT – He is always available to mentor and assist IIFT Alumni in their Financial Markets Trading and Investing journey.
Derek Ryan – Pensions Expert
Derek is Head of Retirement Asset Services in Smith & Williamson where he acts as Pensioneer Trustee to over 100 company pension schemes, giving him a wide understanding of many different business situations.
Derek is an Associate of the Irish Institute of Pension Managers and a fellow of the Pensions Management Institute in the UK. He is approved as a pensioner trustee and is experienced in structuring bespoke approved retirement schemes.
Tony Fitzpatrick – Financial Expert
Tony is an accountant and Qualified Financial Adviser.
Tony has spent his career in Financial Services working in Stockbroking, Moneybroking and Investment Advisory firms. His expertise is in equities, corporate finance, financial markets regulation and risk management.
Tony has been with IIFT since its inception and involved in course design for many years. He has an in-depth knowledge of all matters Finance.
Ian Murphy – Professional Trader
Ian studied various aspects of trading with leading American industry professionals, including psychology with Dr. Alexander Elder and technical analysis with Kerry Lovvorn. Ian is now a financial trading consultant based in Limerick. He specializes in international equities and futures using trend-following, swing-trading and day-trading strategies.
His book, Way of the Trader – A Complete Guide to the Art of Financial Trading has been published in the US, UK, India and China. Ian has presented at trading workshops in the UK, Ireland and The Netherlands. He is also a regular contributor on the MoneyShow® and TradersExpo® in the USA.
Julie Austin & Mary Courtney
Julie Austin & Mary Courtney are a team of Independent Social Workers who together present the IIFT Fair Deal Course.
Julie and Mary have extensive backgrounds in Medical Social Work, predominantly working with Older Persons. They have also more recently worked in the Private Nursing Home Sector & have a particular interest in the Nursing Home Support Scheme.
Martin O’Sullivan – Bonds Expert
Martin is a Senior Portfolio Manager with Cantor Fitzgerald, one of the worlds largest stockbrokers.
Martin has worked in the financial services business for over 30 years with a number of the major domestic & international financial services firms, specialising in the bond markets.
He holds a B.A (Eco) and M.B.S in Finance and is a member of the Certified Financial Analyst (C.F.A).
